I’m an environmentalist at heart and in practice. I hold a doctorate in Chemical Engineering, which focused on technology deployment for sustainable urban development. I am currently employed as the Group Manager overseeing Sustainability and Business Development for a waste minimisation company. My role covers:
- improving recycling practices and reporting for our clients
- oversight of the company’s global business development
- promoting awareness of sustainability issues.
I continually volunteer my service on the boards of non-profit organisations which align with environmental conservation. I have also co-founded a start-up NPO to address the same issues through a technological design approach.
I’m originally from Zimbabwe, where my parents still live, and I currently live in Durban, South Africa, with my wife, Celeste and my son, Jude. I enjoy travelling, reading comic books, and good food with good company.
